CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
VAT Consultancy
The VAT and customs duty advice firm has appointed Julie Park (right) as its new managing director, responsible for the daily running of the business and corporate expansion. Park is a former director at Deloitte and will work alongside VAT director Steve McIntyre.
RSM Tenon
Tim Ingram has been appointed as chairman at the accountancy and advisory firm. He succeeds Adrian Martin with immediate effect. Ingram was chairman of Collins Stewart Hawkpoint until March 2012, when it was sold to Cannacord Genuity. Previously in his career, he was chief executive and later chairman of First National Finance Corporation. He was later a managing director at Abbey National and chief executive of Caledonia Investments.
Marex International
The financial products brokerage has appointed Ian Lowitt as chief financial officer and global head of strategy. He joins Marex from Barclays Wealth America, where he served as chief operating officer. Lowitt previously spent 14 years at Lehman Brothers, latterly as chief financial officer.
State Street
Timothy Donovan has been appointed senior managing director and head of real estate fund services for North America at the investment servicing, management and research firm. He joins from Beacon Residential Management, where he was chief executive and responsible for its real estate portfolio. He has also worked as chief financial officer at Beacon.
Eversheds
Mohammed Al Dhabaan has been appointed as a partner in the law firm’s Saudi Arabia office. He joins from Al Tamimi & Company, where he was partner responsible for its corporate and commercial practice. Al Dhabaan previously acted as counsel to the Lahore Stock Exchange.
Baker Tilly
The accountancy, tax and business advice firm has appointed Paul Durgan as head of academies. Based in London, he will be responsible for developing Baker Tilly’s offering to academies and free schools. Durgan was chief financial officer at the Haberdashers’s federation of schools for the past nine years. He has also previously served as a director at Andersen, and in senior roles at Binder Hamlyn and Touche Ross.
Shire
The speciality biopharmaceutical firm has announced that David Colpman will lead its global business development team. Currently senior vice president, he has worked for the firm for 12 years. Colpman replaces Barbara Deptula, who is retiring on 29 June.
