Hermes Fund Managers
Saker Nusseibeh has been appointed chief executive of the fund manager. He joined Hermes in 2009 as main board director and head of investment. He has also held senior roles at Trust Company of the West, Societe Generale Asset Management, and latterly Fortis Investments.
Nikko Asset Management
The Asia-focused asset management firm has announced the appointment of Aoifinn Devitt as head of its world series fund platform. Devitt will be based in London and will unify and leverage Nikko’s existing network of international teams. She has previously worked for Cambridge Associates and Goldman Sachs.
Avoca Capital
James Hatchley has been appointed co-chief executive of the credit investment manager. He will work alongside its co-founders Alan Burke and Donal Daly. Hatchley joins from Freeman & Co, the financial services firm, where he was chief operating officer of its European division.
Salamanca Risk Management
Kellie Edwards has been appointed head of forensic accounting at the security and operational risk management services firm. She has 15 years of accountancy experience, and has specialised in forensic accounting since 2003.
Premier Gold Resources
The central Asia-focused gold exploration and development firm has appointed Bob Stewart as its non-executive chairman, effective 1 June. Stewart is Conservative MP for Beckenham and served 28 years in the Army. He has also previously worked as senior consultant, public affairs at Hill & Knowlton, the communications firm.
FSA
Joe Garner has been appointed chairman of the FSA’s financial services practitioner panel. He replaces Russell Collins, who is retiring from Deloitte at the end of May. Garner is deputy chief executive of HSBC and responsible for its UK retail and commercial banking business. He started his career at Procter and Gamble and has also held posts at Dixons Group.
Allenby Capital
Amrit Nahal and Emma Ayton have been appointed to the corporate finance provider’s equity sales team. Nahal joins from Arden Partners and has over 19 years of experience in sales and UK equity capital markets. Ayton also joins from Arden, and has previously worked for Williams de Broe, Teather & Greenwood, Collins Stewart and Evolution Solutions.
