Brooks Madonald Funds
The fund management arm of Brooks Macdonald Group has appointed Mark Watson as new business development manager. Watson, based in Brooks Macdonald’s London office in Mayfair, will develop relationships with IFAs, discretionary fund managers and other business professionals to promote BMF’s fund proposition. He joins from Zurich Assurance Company, where he worked as an executive account consultant, building business relationships with IFA firms in London.
EPRA
David Atkins, chief executive of Hammerson, has been appointed as chairman of industry body the European Public Real Estate Association. Atkins takes over as EPRA chairman for two years from Guillame Poitrinal, CEO of Unibail-Rodamco.
Societe Generale
Michael S Haigh has joined Societe Generale Cross Asset Research as managing director, global head of commodities research. Haigh, formerly global head of commodities research at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, replaces Frederic Lasserre, who becomes managing director, head of commodities investors group.
Laurence Simons
Lucinda Moule, formerly group managing director of Kinsey Allen, has been appointed as the new managing director of the legal recruiter Laurence Simons.
Linklaters
The law firm has elected Patrice Doat, a capital markets lawyer at the French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel, as a partner in its Paris office. Doat specialises in securitisation and structured products, including covered bonds.
Paddy Power
Christian Woolfenden has been appointed as marketing director for Paddy Power, effective from the start of December. Woolfenden will join from Bacardi, where is global brand director. Prior to joining Bacardi, he worked at Procter & Gamble in Switzerland and London for eight years.
F&C Investments
The London-listed asset management group has hired Stuart Hastie as an associate director with responsibility for business development in the private equity funds team in the Edinburgh office. Most recently, Hastie spent four years at Lloyds Banking Group as a relationship manager.
Barclays Corporate
Chris Harrison has been hired as head of UK MNC trade finance origination to support multinational corporates and their subsidiaries. Harrison joins from Lloyds TSB where he was director of trade finance sales.
