CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Assura Group
The primary healthcare group has announced that Jenefer Greenwood has been appointed non-executive director with immediate effect. Greenwood is currently director of sales and lettings for Grosvenor Britain and Ireland and is also member of the board for the Crown Estate, where she chairs its remuneration committee. She will replace Claire Hollingsworth as chair of the remuneration committee at Assura.
Hummingbird Resources
The gold exploration firm has announced that Julian Barnes is joining as head of project development at its Dugbe 1 gold zone. In 1987, Barnes co-founded Resource Service Group, an exploration and mining consultancy, and has since held several senior positions in the industry. He was most recently director of Serbia-focused Avala Resources.
BDO
Bart Sommerville and Tomas Freyman have been appointed as directors within BDO’s valuation team, part of the forensic accountancy practice of the accountancy and business advisory firm. Sommerville has spent five years in the Deloitte valuation team in London and six years at PwC in Toronto. Freyman joins from Ernst & Young, where he has worked for four years in its infrastructure advisory division.
Dechert
The law firm has announced that Simon Briggs is joining its London office as a partner in its corporate and securities practice. Briggs was previously partner at Dewey & LeBeouf and he worked closely with Dewey’s emerging markets team, which joined Dechert last month.
RFC Ambrian
The natural resources-focused corporate finance advisory firm has announced the immediate appointment of Dr Stuart Amor as head of oil and gas research. Amor has over 15 years’ experience as an oil and gas analyst and joins from UniCredit, where he was head of eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa equity research. He has also served as head of equity research at ING.
Investec
Investec Investment Banking has made three new appointments to its closed-end funds team. Tim Mitchell joins to lead Investec’s corporate offering from Invesco Asset Management, where he was head of the listed funds division. Henry Freeman joins from Liberum Capital, where he led alternative and investment funds research. Charlie Stagg joins from JP Morgan Cazenove Investment Companies.
Aimselect
The recruitment company has appointed Andy Slater as chief executive of its global markets subsidiary with immediate effect. Slater previously served as chief operating officer since joining in July 2011. In the past he has worked for Marex Financial, Carr Futures, Chase Manhattan, Lehman Brothers and UBS.
