DC Advisory Partners
The corporate finance advisory firm has announced the appointment of Terry Huffine as executive director in its European consumer, leisure and retail team. Huffine joins after eight years with ABN AMRO and, following its acquisition, at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was a director on the consumer team. He also previously served for five years as an adviser to the governor of Colorado.
Lloyds Bank
Lloyds has announced that Seb Kafetz will be moving to its New York office to head its insurance operations. He will take up the position of senior vice president, insurance coverage, and work alongside Rich Herder, head of financial institutions in North America. Kafetz has been with Lloyds since 2002 and has covered insurance since 2004.
Restoration Partners
Glyn Barker has been appointed chairman of the technology merchant bank’s new advisory board. Barker is currently chairman designate of Irwin Mitchell, the law firm, and a non-executive director of both Aviva and the Berkeley Group Holdings. He is a former UK chairman of PwC, where he also held the positions of UK managing partner and UK head of assurance.
Addleshaw Goddard
The law firm has appointed Chris Brennan as partner in its FSA enforcement practice. He joins the litigation division and will operate out of the firm’s London office. Brennan has over fifteen years’ experience as a regulatory lawyer, most recently with Lloyds Banking Group, where he was head of regulatory in group legal. He was also previously a partner at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert.
Cameron McKenna
Former Ashurst partner Arundel McDougall has been appointed a consultant at Cameron McKenna, the law firm. McDougall has been at Ashurst since 2000 and was previously managing partner at Rowe & Maw (now Mayer Brown). He was also recently appointed chief executive of the European Justice Forum, a coalition working to promote fair, transparent and efficient civil justice laws.
Ernst & Young
Mark Brown has been appointed to Ernst & Young’s IT risk and assurance team in London. He will take up the post of director and will be responsible for information security and business continuity. Brown joins from SABMiller, the consumer goods firm, where he was chief information security officer. He has also held the position of European head of information security for SunGuard Data Systems.
PKF
The accountancy firm has appointed Marc Flack as a senior manager in its London not-for-profit team. He joins after fourteen years at Grant Thornton. He will report to Ian Mathieson, head of not-for-profit at PKF.
