Brookland Partners
The investment bank has appointed Griff Winkler as a director, where he will focus on expanding the firm through identifying investment opportunities from capital providers and other JV partners. Winkler joins from Hatfield Philips, where he was vice president of the non-performing commercial real estate loan group. He also brings five years of European private equity experience, handling €4.4bn of European sale and leaseback transactions.
KPMG
KPMG has appointed Dr Harry Bush, former group director at the Civil Aviation Authority, as a senior adviser in the Economics and Regulation team. Dr Bush spent more than seven years at the CAA; prior to that, he held a number of posts at HM Treasury.
Prupim
The real estate fund manager has appointed Isabelle Brennan to its indirect investment team, reporting to director Adrian Little. Brennan joins from Henderson Global Investors, where she was an analyst in the Indirect Property Fund of Funds team.
Threadneedle AM
The asset manager has appointed three senior sales directors to cover wholesale markets in Asia. Gerard Clancy, Richmond Herrera and Kent Ng will work with financial institutions and global private banks in Asia, reporting to Michael Langlois, head of wholesale distribution in Asia Pacific.
Jefferies
The global equities group has appointed Allan Heye as a managing director in the portfolio sales trading division, based in the company’s London office. Heye joins from Credit Suisse, where he was a director in portfolio trading sales. Jefferies has also appointed Michael Old as managing director of Real Estate Investment Banking.
F&C Asset Management
The investment management group has appointed Andy Penman as analyst in the global thematic equities team. Penman joins from Barclays Wealth, where he ran US equity model portfolios in addition to his role as analyst.
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft
The international law firm has appointed European competition lawyer Alec J Burnside to open and manage Cadwalader’s new office in Brussels. Burnside joins from Linklaters in Belgium, where he specialised in EU competition law.
Impetus Trust
Venture philanthropy charity Impetus Trust has appointed five leaders from international private equity firms to its new advisory council, which will meet twice a year. The private equity members are Ian Armitage, chair of HgCapital; Alastair Gibbons, partner at Bridgepoint; Ryan Robson, founder and managing director of Sovereign Capital; Joseph Schull, managing director of Warburg Pincus; and Richard Wilson, senior partner at Apax Partners.
