West Pioneer Properties
The developer and operator of shopping centres and mixed use developments in west and south India has appointed Chris Hough as a non-executive director. Hough, 52, has a career spanning 34 years, both in the UK and overseas. Hough has worked on the Broadgate development and the Imperial War Museum, and has been providing development and project management advice in London.
Valiant Petroleum
Jannik Lindbæk, 72, has joined Valiant’s board as a non-executive director. Lindbæk’s previous roles have included being chairman of Statoil ASA, Gaz de France Norway and Saga Petroleum AS. In the finance sector he has been chairman of Den norske Bank, executive vice president of the IFC, part of the World Bank Group, and chief executive of Storebrand Insurance.
Collins Stewart
Collins Stewart Wealth Management has hired Tony Akrasi, Andrew Little and Turon Miah as stockbrokers. The trio, who all come from Barclays Wealth, will join the London advisory desk, reporting to Symon Hawken.
International Greetings
The manufacturer of gift wrap, crackers, cards, stationery and accessories has appointed Anthony Lawrinson as finance director. Lawrinson’s most recent role was group finance director at Reliance Security Group. Prior to that he was chief financial officer at Airwave Solutions (formerly O2 Airwave, a division within the O2 Group).
IGas Energy
The energy company has hired Stephen Bowler as chief financial officer and a director of the company. Bowler, 38, started his career at Touche Ross, now Deloitte, where he qualified as a chartered accountant. In 1999, he joined ABN Amro Hoare Govett, now RBS Hoare Govett, where he has acted as adviser and broker to a wide range of companies with a particular focus on exploration and production.

The property asset management division of Brooks Macdonald Group is extending its business in the Yorkshire region by hiring Henry Powell-Jones as new business development manager.
