Amundi
The asset management firm has appointed Christian Pellis as its global head of external distribution. He joins from LGT Capital Management, where he was head of distribution and a member of its executive board. Pellis has also held senior roles at Fleming Fund Management in Luxembourg, and at Threadneedle Investments.
Pioneer Investments
Jon Bailie has been appointed head of Western Europe and Latin America at the investment management firm. He joins from AXA Investment Management, where he was global head of distribution. Bailie previously spent 16 years at Russell Investments, where he held several senior roles.
Rockspring Property Investment Managers
The property investment and fund management firm has appointed Allen Chilten as senior manager in its Europe, Middle East and Africa investor relations team. He was previously at Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for developing business and servicing clients in Europe. Chilten is also a former professional rugby player.
Smith & Williamson
The financial services group has appointed Harish Dass an associate director in its London tax and business services practice. He is a qualified chartered accountant and a chartered tax adviser and joins from Grant Thornton. He will specialise in advising UK tax resident and non-UK domiciled individuals.
Mizuho International
Andrew Hunter has been appointed managing director, head of equity sales and trading at the London-based investment banking arm of Mizuho Financial Group. He joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently head of Japan equities in Tokyo. Hunter has also previously held senior roles at UBS in Tokyo.
Bird and Bird
The law firm has appointed Brett Hailey as a partner in its London office and international aviation sector group. He joins from SNR Denton, and was recently seconded to JP Morgan as a senior consultant on export-credit financing. Hailey has more than 20 years’ experience in the aviation sector.
Markel
The specialist insurer has appointed Hannah Purves as its new claims director. She joins from Beazley, where she headed up its claims department for political risk, contingency, terrorism and product recall. Purves has also worked as an insurance lawyer at Mayer Brown.
