The real estate focused investment bank has appointed Dawn Prideaux de Lacy as its new chief operating officer. She was previously global chief operating officer at ING Real Estate Investment Management. Prideaux de Lacy has over 30 years’ experience in the industry, and is also a former chief administrative officer of Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
Aberdeen Asset Management
Dimme Lucassen has been appointed fund manager within Aberdeen’s property multi-manager team. He joins after 10 years working at Schroders Property Investment, most recently as fund manager for a European fund of funds. Lucassen replaces Karin Koks, who will now become head of global mandates.
Sullivan & Worcester
The US law firm has opened a London office and recruited Geoffrey Wynne as a trade finance partner. He joins from SNR Denton, where he was head of trade and export finance. Wynne specialises in advising banks and trade financiers on trade and commodity transactions.
Ashcourt Rowan
The wealth management firm has appointed David Palmer as business director in its asset management division. He joins from Generali, where he was founding chief executive of its London-based portfolio management business. Palmer has also held senior roles at Rea Brothers.
Pinsent Masons
The law firm has appointed John Gilbert to its energy and natural resources team. He is an international arbitration specialist and joins after five years in the litigation group of BP’s legal department. Gilbert also previously worked at Herbert Smith.
Carmignac Gestion
Edward Cole has been appointed as an analyst responsible for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa at the asset management firm. He joins from Finisterre Capital, where he co-managed emerging markets funds. Cole previously held a similar role at Ashmore Group, and started his career at JP Morgan Securities covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Gleacher Shacklock
The corporate finance advisory firm has appointed Richard Simmon as a partner, with responsibility for financial institutions. He joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director. Simmon has over 20 years’ experience in the sector, and also once worked for Merrill Lynch.
