Carmignac Gestion
Anne Bellavoine has been appointed head of marketing at the asset management firm. She joins from Societe Generale, where she was most recently relationship manager for financial institutions. Bellavoine has over 25 years’ experience in the industry, and was additionally global head of equity sales at Societe Generale and chairwoman of SG Securities.
Kleinwort Benson
The private bank has appointed Jeremy Hippolite as executive director, business development, and Glenn Baker as director, business development. Hippolite joins from Standard Life Wealth, where he held senior roles in its discretionary fund management business. He has also held positions at Credit Suisse and Coutts. Baker joins from Schroders Private Banking, where he was a business developer.
Thomas Eggar
Andrew Watters has been appointed director in the law firm’s private client team. He joins from Berwin Leighton Paisner, where he was also a director, and he specialises in contentious tax issues. Watters also previously worked as a senior investigator in the special compliance office of the Inland Revenue.
Smith & Williamson Investment Management
Mark Boucher has been appointed to the investment management firm’s UK equity team. He is returning to Smith & Williamson as director, head of UK equities, after leaving in 2009 to run UK monies for a US-based hedge fund. Boucher will again take up the position of co-manager of the firm’s Enterprise fund.
Bird & Bird
The law firm has appointed Michael Brown and Martin Sandler as partners in its London-based international finance services group. Brown joins from Jones Day. He is a solicitor-advocate with 18 years’ experience in dispute resolution, and has also worked for Citigroup and NatWest. Sandler focuses on regulatory and transactional work, and has previously held roles at NYSE Euronext and Merrill Lynch.
Jupiter
Luca Evangelisti and Harry Richards have been appointed to Jupiter’s fixed interest and multi-asset team as credit analysts. Evangelisti joins from Moody’s, where he was an associate in its financial institutions group. He previously held roles at Goldman Sachs. Richards transfers from Jupiter’s private clients and charities team.
