Coutts
Coutts, the wealth division of Royal Bank of Scotland Group, has appointed Amir Sadr as head of the UAE market and private office in the Middle East, based in Dubai. In his new role, Sadr will develop Coutts’ ultra high net worth proposition in the Middle East, reporting to Alex Classen, chief executive of Coutts International and Duncan MacIntyre, head of Coutts Private Office. Sadr joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he led the bank’s institutional client group and the family office group.
Herbert Smith
David Robinson will succeed John Mullins as global chief operating officer of the law firm at the end of the current financial year. Robinson moves to Herbert Smith from Ernst & Young, where he was most recently chief operating officer for the firm’s operations across Northern Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.
Savills
Dante Felixson has been appointed to lead the commercial property management team in Savills’ Stockholm office. Felixson previously worked for Kungsleden Fastighets AB.
Sirius Minerals
Russell Scrimshaw, the former deputy chief executive of Fortesque and a non-executive director of Sirius, has been appointed as chairman of the potash development group. Scrimshaw succeeds Chris Catlow, who has stepped back to deputy chairman for personal reasons, replacing Richard Poulden, who becomes a non-executive director.
KPMG Europe
Tim Payne has been promoted from chief operating officer of people for KPMG Europe to head of people across the business’s member firms. He succeeds Rachel Campbell, now global head of people, performance and culture for KPMG International.
LDC
The private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Mark Henderson, Chris Jagger and Paul Reading as investment managers. They join from Investec, the Future Fund and LDC’s value enhancement group respectively. And David Andrews has been hired as investment manager from Monitor Group.
Singer Capital Markets
Ian Jermin, a specialist in the recruitment sector, has joined the institutional stockbroking firm as generalist smaller companies analyst. He joins from Merchant Securities Group, having spent his earlier career at Bridgewell, Robert W Baird and Credit Lyonnais.
