CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
AXA Wealth
Andrew Smith has been appointed chief operating officer of the wealth management firm’s Elevate investment platform. He joins from Nucleus, where he was responsible for its platform design and build. Smith has also held senior roles at Logica and Thomson Reuters.
Mazars
The advisory firm has appointed Phil Verity to the position of UK senior partner, effective 1 September. He is an executive member of its international management board, and has served as a partner since 2009. Verity joined Mazars as a graduate in 1986, and has held leadership positions in the UK firm since 2003. He was most recently leader of its UK middle market business.
Lunson Mitchenall
The retail and leisure agency has appointed Rob Wingrave as its new managing director, effective 1 October. He has worked at Lunson Mitchenall since 1991, most recently as a director. Wingrave replaces Marcus Kilby, who has been promoted to chairman of the company. Kilby will also assume the presidency of the British Council of Shopping Centres in December.
Forex Club
Pavel Teplukhin has been appointed chairman of the online broker. He is a co-founder of Troika Dialog, the Russian investment bank, and will work to strengthen Forex Club’s presence in institutional and retail markets in Russia.
Jones Lang LaSalle
The real estate services firm has expanded its London-based building surveying team with the addition of nine new members. David Newton joins as a director from BNP Paribas. Colin Hughes, Chris Osborne and Tim Reeves join as senior building surveyors. The remaining hires join as either building surveyors or graduates.
Alvarez & Marsal
Rob Schuyt has been appointed managing director in the professional services firm’s European restructuring business. Most recently he was the chief revenue officer and chief financial officer of Saab Automobile, the Swedish car company. Schuyt has more than 20 years’ experience in turnaround and performance improvement, and was also previously a partner at Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Revetas Capital Advisors
The real estate investment firm has appointed Markus Leininger to its investment committee. He joins from EuroHypo, the commercial real estate financing subsidiary of Commerzbank. Leininger has over 15 years’ experience in real estate financing and has also worked for Rheinhyp.
