The property consultant has appointed business consulting real estate executive Neil McLocklin as a partner and head of its EMEA business consulting group, based in London. He joins from Capita Symonds, where he was director of consultancy and advisory services. In addition, Elizaveta Shaforostova will transfer to the London team from C&M’s Moscow office, where she manages the Moscow occupier team.

The accountancy and business advisory firm has appointed Simon Pringle to lead the sustainability & climate change practice. Pringle was formerly a partner at a global management consultancy and is one of the founding trustees of Carbon Leapfrog.
Aviva
John Lister has been appointed as UK chief risk officer, effective from March 2012. Lister, who has been chief actuary at the firm since 2005, succeeds Craig Thornton, who became UK chief commercial director on 1 November.

The US law firm has hired international employment lawyer Ming Henderson-Vu Thi as a partner in the firm’s London office. Henderson-Vu Thi joins from Oracle, where she was director and senior employment counsel for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Ranjit Munro has joined the firm’s financial advisory business as a managing director in the debt advisory group. Munro joins Lazard from Rothschild, where she was also a managing director in debt advisory.

Louise Palmer is joining the board of the executive search firm founded by Carol Leonard as a partner. As a co-founder of consultancy 7days, Palmer assisted blue-chip firms including Whitbread, Avis, Guardian News & Media, ITV and Gala Coral. Prior to that, she was a senior consultant at Coopers & Lybrand.
Squire Sanders Hammonds
The law firm has boosted its intellectual property technology team in London with the appointment of IT and outsourcing expert Garfield Smith. Smith joins from Pinsent Masons, where he was a partner for four years and led the financial services outsourcing group.
