Ignis Asset Management
Jeremy Soutter has been appointed global head of product development at the asset management firm. He will join on 1 August from Aviva Investors, where he has held a similar position for 13 years. Soutter has worked in asset management since the early 1980s, notably at Gartmore Fund Management, Lloyds Bank and Henderson.
Macfarlanes
The law firm has appointed Martin Zetter to the newly-created roles of head of transfer pricing and senior economist in its tax and structuring group. He joins from Ernst & Young, where he was director in its financial services transfer pricing group.
QuantumFX
The institutional division of Alpari has appointed Maxine Dennis as institutional sales executive. She will be responsible with developing the forex firm’s relationship with banks, brokers and hedge funds. Dennis has 20 years’ experience in the City, and previously served as senior spot dealer at Citibank and as a director and FX trader at UBS.
Simmons & Simmons
Alyson Lockett has been elected to the board of the international law firm. She is a finance lawyer in its London banking team, with a particular focus on distressed debt. Her appointment coincides with the retirement of Richard Perry from the board after the completion of his term.
Pioneer Investments
The investment management group has appointed Brian Clay as head of its UK wholesale business. He joins from Janus Capital, where he was head of sales for its intermediary wholesale and sub-advisory business. Clay has over 20 years’ experience in financial intermediary sales, and has also served as a business development manager at Franklin Templeton Investments in London.
Bluefin Corporate Consulting
Albert Kuller and Maria Nazarova-Doyle have been appointed to the business consultancy’s investment team. Kuller joins from the Pension Protection Fund. He has previously held roles at McGraw Hill and Bloomberg. Nazarova-Doyle joins from PromSvyazCapital, the Moscow-based investment management company.
Berwin Leighton Paisner
The law firm has appointed Chris Webber as a senior associate in its banking and financial services litigation division. He will join the firm on 24 July, and previously served as counsel at Bingham McCutchen, the US legal practice.
