CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Ogier
The legal and fiduciary services group has appointed Aaron Le Cornu as group chief operating officer. Le Cornu joined Ogier in 2009 as group finance director, having spent the previous 10 years at HSBC. Additionally, Jamie Bore has been promoted to group financial director. He joined Ogier in 2009, and previously worked at IFG as its UK group business analyst.
Escher
Jonathan O’Connell has been appointed group finance director at the software firm. He most recently served as chief executive of Merrion Pharmaceuticals, the drug development firm and has also worked as chief financial officer at Spectel, the web conferencing software provider.
Coutts
The wealth division of RBS has appointed Armando Rosselli as executive director and head of tax and wealth structuring. He has over 15 years’ experience in private banking, and joins from Credit Suisse, where he was most recently head of wealth planning. Rosselli has also held similar roles at UBS.
Berwin Leighton Paisner
Lisa O’Neill has been recruited into the partnership at the international law firm. She joins from Allen & Overy, and will serve in BLP’s corporate practice. O’Neill has previously worked in Hong Kong, Moscow and New York, and specialises in the energy and natural resources sector.
Nationwide
Rita Clifton has been appointed to the board of the building society as a non-executive director. She holds numerous non-executive roles, including at Bupa, Dixons Retail and Populus. Clifton has also been chairman of Interbrand UK since 2002, and is a trustee of the World Wildlife Fund UK.
Linklaters
The law firm has announced that Georg Annuss is joining its Munich officer as a partner. He arrives from Noerr, a German firm, and also serves as a professor at the University of Regensburg. Annuss is an expert in employment law, service contract law, reorganisation law and co-determination law.
Walpole
The not-for-profit organisation that represents the British luxury goods industry has announced that Sir David Bell is retiring as chairman after six years. He will be replaced by Ben Hughes. Hughes has sat on Walpole’s board since 2010 and is global commercial director and deputy chief executive of the Financial Times. He joined the Financial Times in 1983 and has worked in France and London.
