Pladis
Pladis, the snacking company, has appointed Sridhar Ramamurthy as chief financial officer. Sridhar will join next month and report to chief executive Salman Amin, who said: “Sridhar is a seasoned and respected financial executive who brings a deep and wide-ranging array of consumer product expertise and experiences to Pladis as we continue our strategic transformation to grow our company.” Sridhar built a successful international finance career at Unilever across three decades. He held key leadership positions in emerging and mature markets, including India, Singapore and the UK. He was finance controller for Unilever’s largest region (Asia/Africa) and chief financial officer for Hindustan Unilever Limited, the largest fast-moving consumer goods company in India. In the UK, Sridhar held senior finance responsibilities for Unilever, including group treasurer and executive vice-president, enterprise solutions, where he was responsible for shared services, covering finance, HR, supply chain and workplace. He also has a proven record of developing and building talent – a top priority at Pladis. Sridhar said: “I am excited to join pladis at a pivotal time. The company’s strong portfolio of heritage brands has unlimited potential.”
J O Hambro Capital Management
Active asset manager J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) has appointed Alexandra Altinger as chief executive – UK, Europe & Asia, which includes its London and Singapore operations. She will join JOHCM on 9 September and will be based in the London head office in St James’s Market. Alexandra has more than 25 years’ experience in the wealth and asset management industries, working across Europe, Asia and the US. Her most recent role, from 2014 to 2017, was chief executive of Sandaire Investment Office, offering tailored investment portfolios and solutions for families and foundations. Since leaving Sandaire in November 2017, she has spent time with her family and pursued personal interests.
Duff & Phelps
Duff & Phelps, the global adviser that protects, restores and maximises value for clients, has announced that Paul Martin has joined as a managing director, leading the UK Transaction Advisory Services practice, based in the London office. He has over 25 years of experience providing financial and operational deal advice, with a focus on private equity and large corporates. Ray Newman, managing director and global leader of transaction advisory services at Duff & Phelps, said: “Paul is a recognised transaction leader who provides a hands-on, commercial approach and has a proven track record of maximising value for clients.” He joins from Grant Thornton where he was a partner in the Transaction Advisory Services practice.
