City Moves for 2 July – Who’s switching jobs?
Today’s City Moves includes Weatherbys Private Bank, Personal Group and Ocean Outdoor
Weatherbys Private Bank
David Green has joined Weatherbys Private Bank as head of credit from C. Hoare and Co and will be responsible for ensuring that the bank’s prudent and responsible approach to lending continues. Prior to nearly 19 years at C. Hoare and Co., David spent 13 years at Coutts. As head of credit, David will join the credit committee, chaired by Roger Weatherby, chief executive officer. He will work closely with Sarah-Whitworth Underwood and David Kindred, chief risk officer, reporting directly to Quentin Marshall, head of private banking. David’s arrival reinforces Weatherbys’ credit capabilities at a time of strong growth. Weatherbys’ attention to detail and high levels of service have allowed it to grow its loan book consistently over many years without taking undue risk. This is further evidenced in the recently published 2018 annual results.
Personal Group
Personal Group , a technology-enabled employee services provider in the UK, has announced the appointment of Maria Darby-Walker to the board as a non-executive director, effective from 28 June 2019. Maria has a wealth of marketing, brand and communications experience working with the boards of major blue-chip companies such as Rio Tinto,
Rolls-Royce, Cadbury and Barclays. She has spent nearly half her career in financial services advising the likes of the Financial Conduct Authority, the Investment Association, Unum and Churchill Insurance on reputation management. Mark Winlow, chairman of Personal Group, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Maria to the board; her knowledge of marketing, brand and digital communications, along with a background in
financial services and regulation will be extremely beneficial to the Group. We are looking forward to Maria’s input to the Group’s strategy and growth going forward.”
