Currency Cloud, the international payments engine, has announced the appointment of Fiona Tee as chief financial officer (CFO). Fiona brings over 30 years’ financial and commercial experience within the technology and software industries. Previous CFO roles include Mondex International, a leading early adopter of digital payments, Intelligent Environments Europe, and Anite Telecoms. In addition to these roles, she spent seven years providing interim services – both as CFO and financial director – to venture backed, high-growth technology businesses, as well as having co-founded a successful technology company of her own.
Just Eat
Digital marketplace for takeaway food Just East has appointed Joanna de Koning as its new global head of corporate communications to lead on the delivery of its brand reputation strategy, financial communications and corporate responsibility programme. Joanna is currently Europe’s senior manager of communications at McDonald’s, where she has led external communications output, supporting teams in 38 markets for three years. Prior to this, she worked at corporate communications consultancy Fishburn Hedges for almost nine years, leading teams and working across flagship accounts such as Barclays and Nestle. Joanna will work closely with Just Eat’s corporate PR agency, Brunswick, and Just Eat’s head of investor relations, Adam Kay, in delivering both corporate and financial communications activity for the FTSE 250 company.
Epsilon Real Estate Partners
Epsilon Real Estate Partners has appointed Will Castle, previously an associate in Savills London residential development team, to identify and acquire residential development opportunities as part of the company’s expansion drive across London and the south east. Epsilon has traditionally specialised in central London projects but has recently begun developing in outer London and commuter belt locations.
Michelmores
Law firm Michelmores has expanded its London corporate team with the hire of Ian Binnie as partner. Ian joins from Hamlins and brings extensive experience across a broad range of corporate and capital markets offerings, including advising on public and private M&A and corporate investment through debt and equity. He has particular expertise in advising UK and overseas corporates on Aim, with a focus in China, India and Africa.
