ACTIVA CAPITAL
French independent private equity company Activa Capital has appointed Mathilde Sergent, 30, as manager. Prior to joining Activa Capital, Mathilde was for five years as M&A associate at Nomura, where she worked in the consumer goods, distribution and transport and infrastructure industries.
EY
EY has appointed Niranjan Nathan as a partner in its insurance practice, to join the firm in July 2016. He will take over the leadership of EY’s UK P&C actuarial team within 12 months of joining. He joins from Swiss Re where he was a managing director and the chief risk officer (CRO) of its global commercial insurance division. At Swiss Re, he held a number of senior roles, including heading up the UK P&C actuarial costing team, before moving into a group strategy role.
QINEC
Qinec, a digital health company focused on cloud-based personalised healthcare management, has announced that healthcare IT veteran Jim Horsburgh has joined its board as a non-executive member and been appointed as independent chairman. Jim previously served as chairman of healthcare IT company System C, leading the company through its flotation and acquisition by McKesson. Jim currently serves as chairman for Insource, a data warehousing automation solution specialising in healthcare, and chairman for Shearwater, a developer of mobile solutions for healthcare. He has previously served as chairman for ScriptSwitch and Triaster.
EPSON
Rob Clark has been appointed managing director of printer maker Epson’s UK business. Rob will take on this position while continuing to drive Epson’s European business strategy as senior vice president for Epson Europe. He has been with Epson for over 20 years, initially joining as a product manager for dot matrix printers before spending five years as director of the inkjet business for Epson Europe. Rob replaces Tony Petford, who has been appointed as vice president for CISMEA (Russia & associated territories, Middle East and Africa).
PEEL HUNT
Adrian Trimmings has joined Peel Hunt from Numis Securities, where he was associate director , Corporate Finance . Adrian will be working in corporate broking and advisory. He was at Arden Partners for eight years – from 2006 to 2014 – as a director in corporate finance working on a variety of main Market and Aim deals.
