The private bank has appointed Annabel Bosman, Damien Crommie, Matthew Garnham and Jamie Banks to its relationship management and wealth planning team in London. Bosman (pictured) joins as managing director senior adviser from Deutsche Bank, where she has been a senior banker since 2009. Crommie joins as executive director from Deutsche Bank, where he has been a senior banker since 2010. Garnham joins as a director from Deutsche Bank. Banks joins as an executive director from Deutsche Bank, where he was most recently head of its UK regulated wealth planning business.
ALLIANZ GLOBAL INVESTORS
The investment management firm has appointed Tim Bird as a director in its UK institutional sales and client servicing team. He joins from T Rowe Price, where he spent the past four years in its institutional relationship management team for UK and Ireland. Bird has also held roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, HSBC Asset Management and Mercury Asset Management.
HAITONG
The Chinese investment bank has appointed Christian Thun-Hohenstein to lead investment banking in the UK. He was most recently a partner at STJ Advisors. Thun-Hohenstein has over 30 years’ corporate finance experience, and has also held roles at Nomura, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Prudential Bache.
TLT
Andrew Glynn has been appointed senior partner at the law firm. He trained at TLT legacy firm Lawrence & Co, before spending seven years with Rowe and Maw (now Mayer Brown). Glynn returned to TLT, becoming a partner in 1994 and head of real estate in 1999. Maria Connolly becomes head of real estate at the firm. She joined as a trainee in 1997, became a real estate partner in 2007, and energy and renewables sector team leader in 2010.
ICBC STANDARD BANK
David Spegel has been appointed head of global emerging market strategy at the bank. He joins from BNP Paribas, where he was global head of emerging markets sovereign and corporate strategy. Spegel has also held roles at ING Financial Markets in London and New York, latterly as global head of emerging markets strategy.
