Deloitte
Richard Wood has been appointed senior adviser in the professional services firm’s private client and family office team. He was most recently head of real estate within UBS’s wealth management division. Wood has also held roles at Knight Frank, Cazenove and Arbuthnot Securities.
Berenberg
The private bank has appointed Dr Manfred Schlumberger as chief investment officer. He joins from BHF Bank, where he has been a managing director since 2001. Schlumberger has also held positions at Dresdner Bank, DIT and Frankfurter Volksbank.
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher
Philip Crump has been appointed partner in the law firm’s London office. He joins from Kirkland & Ellis in London, and will continue his debt finance practice in his new role. Crump has also held roles at Shearman & Sterling and Russell McVeagh.
GQ Employment Law
The employment law firm has announced the appointment of Daniel Pollard as partner. He joins from MacFarlanes. In addition, GQ Employment Law has appointed two new associates. Natasha Adom joins as as senior associate from Clyde & Co. Raoul Perekh joins as an associate from Baker & McKenzie, where he trained and qualified.
The Foundation
The growth and innovation consultancy has appointed Terry Corby as partner. He most recently set up and led a technology startup in London’s Tech City. Corby has also previously served as partner, chief marketing officer and board member at both KPMG and Accenture.
Blemain Group
The specialist lender has announced the appointment of Mark Rookyard as regional development director. He joins from GE Money Home Lending, where he was national account manager.
LJ Group
The multi family office has announced two appointments. Vincent McCartney becomes managing director of its Swiss office. He has previously held roles at Charterhouse Group, Chesterfield, and Barclays Private Bank. Robert Burton becomes managing director for the Isle of Man. He has 26 years’ experience in financial services.
