Alvarez & Marsal
The professional services firm has appointed Jeremy Heales as a senior director in its UK regulatory advisory services practice. He joins from the FCA, where he was most recently head of retail banks. Heales has also held senior roles at the Bank of England and the FCA.
BlueBay Asset Management
Victoria Muir has been appointed global head of investor relations at the specialist fixed income and alternative investment manager. She joins from Royal London Asset Management, where she was head of client account management. Muir has over 20 years’ experience in the wholesale and institutional financial services markets.
Baker & McKenzie
Nadia Banno has been appointed of counsel in the law firm’s dispute resolution practice group. She joins from the BBC, where she was head of litigation. During her time at the broadcaster, Banno advised on Jimmy Savile related matters, including the Pollard Review, the Dame Janet Smith Review, and the civil claims compensation scheme.
Invesco PowerShares
The exchange-traded funds provider has appointed Caroline Baron as head of Invesco PowerShares ETF Distribution UK. She joins from iShares, part of BlackRock. Baron has also held roles at Credit Agricole Indosuez and IFX Markets.
Hermes Real Estate
The fund management firm has announced two appointments. Edward Sellick joins as senior asset manager from M&G Real Estate. He has over 25 years’ experience, and has held roles at Aviva and JLL. Charles Flather joins as an investment surveyor. He previously worked at Bidwells.
Eversheds
Moira Slape has been appointed HR director at the law firm. She joins from White & Case, where she was director of HR across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Slape has also previously held roles at Linklaters, where she was latterly head of HR for global business services.
Druces
The law firm has appointed Nicholas Fisher as a partner. He joins from Osborne Clarke, where he was a banking and finance partner. Fisher has over 25 years’ experience, some spent leading and building banking teams, and has also previously held roles at Simmons & Simmons.
