City Moves for 27 February – who’s switching jobs at JP Morgan, Exiger and Arkle Finance?
Who’s on the move today?
JP Morgan
JP Morgan Asset Management has hired Jennifer Wu as global head of sustainable investing. She joins from Blackrock, where she was a member of its sustainable investing team. She will also lead JP Morgan’s sustainable investing leadership team, a global team of senior leaders focused on sharing best practices for sustainable investing across asset classes. Jennifer will be based in London.
Shari Schiffman, co-head of global product strategy, said: “We believe that Jennifer will build on our strong results and establish JP Morgan as a global leader in sustainable investing.” Christopher Willcox, chief executive of JP Morgan Asset Management, said: “We look forward to working with Jennifer on a broader sustainable investing platform.”
Prior to joining Blackrock in 2014, Jennifer worked for the Asian Development Bank in the energy sector of the Central and West Asia Department and was responsible for infrastructure project finance and energy sector reform. She started her career in venture capital and private equity, focusing on equity investments in technology and renewable energy in Asia as a research analyst and subsequently a portfolio manager.
Exiger
Exiger, the leader in technology-enabled regulatory, financial crime, risk and compliance solutions, has appointed Jason Holt as managing director and EMEA regional leader. Jason, who brings a wealth of experience in financial crime compliance (FCC), has spent most of his 25-year career managing FCC functions at some of the world’s largest financial institutions, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase and Barclays. Jason will be based in London and will drive Exiger’s mission to transform the way organisations solve their most complex regulatory challenges. Jason is stepping into a role most recently held by Lisa Osofsky, who was named director of the UK’s Serious Fraud Office last June.
Arkle Finance
The asset finance specialist Arkle Finance has appointed Paul Bartley, co-founder of Close Leasing, as its new non-executive chairman. During a 30-year career, Paul has gained unrivalled expertise across the asset finance marketplace. As a board member at ING, he helped to grow the Dutch-based lender into one of the UK’s leading asset finance providers, and he led Close Leasing to expand from a new start in 2006 to a portfolio exceeding £500m. He joins Arkle as the Northamptonshire-based lender consolidates after a period of rapid growth. Founded two decades ago, Arkle works with more than 150 finance brokers across the UK and is one of the country’s leading providers of asset finance, to both SMEs and consumers.
