Allfunds Bank
Allfunds Bank has appointed Nick Emmins to spearhead its new investment research services to UK wealth managers and other third party fund buyers. Until recently Nick was a director at RBC where he helped develop its Luxembourg-based global fund trading platform. In that role he implemented new product capabilities while establishing a fund manager support team, which worked with over 300 asset managers. In a 30-plus year career, Nick has held previous roles including head of business development at BNP Paribas securities services, head of institutional sales at BNP Paribas Asset Management and head of investment sales at M&G Investments. Previously he was at Aetna Investment Management.
FTI Consulting
Global business advisory firm FTI Consulting has appointed David Waller as senior managing director in the financial services practice within the company’s Strategic Communications segment. He will be based in London. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, David was the director of external relations for the Association of Financial Markets in Europe (AFME). Prior to AFME, he served as head of communications for Man Group, having previously held senior communications roles at Allianz and Dresdner Kleinwort. He has also previously established a successful financial public relations company.
Hamlins
Law firm Hamlins has appointed Joseph Holder as senior partner. Joseph, who has 30 years of real estate experience, joined Hamlins as a real estate partner in 2010. He has acted in relation to numerous trophy buildings and some of the largest shopping centres, and is a well-known figure in the real estate world. In his new role, Joseph will continue to provide skilled advice and service to his clients.
BQF
BQF, the UK’s membership organisation dedicated to performance improvement, has appointed Melinda Johnson to its board. Melinda is director of group commercial services at the Department for Transport and brings her experience to support BQF’s expansion programme across key UK industry sectors. Melinda oversees procurement and contract management, property assets and transactions, as well as IT Services, security and information across the Department for Transport, which includes organisations such as the DVLA. Prior to joining the department, she was deputy finance and commercial director for the Department for Education, and previously spent four years as head of policy at the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
