Sage
Sage has appointed Aaron Harris to the role of chief technology officer (CTO) with immediate effect. Harris will report to chief executive officer Steve Hare as part of his executive committee. Previously, senior vice president, head of engineering & technology at Sage Intacct, which was acquired by Sage in 2017, this new role will see Aaron expand his responsibilities to develop the technology strategy across Sage Business Cloud. He regularly contributes to the development of best practices for cloud computing, Software as a Service (SaaS) and accounting and finance technology standards. At Sage, Aaron will continue to lead innovation across Sage Business Cloud, leveraging emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to improve user experience, drive business efficiency, build migration pathways, and improve connectivity of its ecosystem. Klaus-Michael Vogelberg, who has previously held the CTO role, will remain on the executive committee and continue to shape the technology agenda for Sage with Harris, in the role of chief architect and technology advisor. Lee Perkins who previously ran Sage’s global product organisation, has been made chief product officer.
Faraday Grid
Faraday Grid, the energy technology company, has appointed Mark Corben as chief financial officer to support the company’s accelerated global growth. Mark previously spent five years as the chief financial officer of Tideway, the investor-owned utility company building the Thames Tideway Tunnel in London.
He was part of the executive team which set up the company and he led the process to raise equity and the multi-format debt capital markets programme.
He previously worked for 17 years at investment bank UBS focusing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and capital raising across Europe.
Mark joins Faraday Grid as the company scales rapidly across the globe to help communities meet the challenge of resolving the energy trilemma.
Faraday Grid recently opened new Innovation Centres in Washington DC and the Czech Republic, with more global milestones expected throughout 2019.
GPP
GPP, the prime broking, investor services and wealth solutions firm, has hired Tiffany Roberts to the role of head of compliance. Tiffany will take on the role after over three years at a leading hedge fund as senior compliance officer.
Her appointment is the latest in GPP’s strategic expansion of its leadership team, following the recent hires of todd johnson as chief operating officer and James Parker as chief risk officer.
