USS Investment Management
Bertrand Biragnet has been appointed head of pan-European equities at the investment arm of the Universities Superannuation Scheme. Biragnet was previously a global equity manager at RIT Capital Partners, and has also held roles at Hermes Focus Asset Management and JP Morgan Asset Management. He also co-launched a long-short equity fund hosted by PCE Investors in 2009.
Mitie
The strategic outsourcing firm has appointed James Gilding as managing director of its rebranded document management business. He joined Mitie 10 years ago, and his most recent role has been commercial director in the group’s total security management business.
Stone Harbor Investment Partners
Stuart Sclater-Booth has been appointed to the institutional credit fixed income investment manager’s emerging markets portfolio management team. He joins from Goldman Sachs International, where he was a managing director and head of emerging markets desk strategy.
Aon Hewitt
The talent, retirement and health solutions business of Aon has appointed Oliver Vandré as a partner in its mergers & acquisitions, HR transformation and HR transition team in Europe. He has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, including roles at Mercer, Minova, ITK International, and Nokia.
Puma Investments
Venetia Coleman has been appointed to the tax efficient investment specialist’s business development team. She joins from Triple Point Investment Management, where she was a relationship manager, responsible for the sales of tax efficient products.
Travelodge
The hotel chain has announced the appointment of Karen Broughton as sales and marketing director. She joins from the Money Advice Service, where she is currently executive director, marketing and service delivery. Broughton began her career at British Airways, and has also held roles at BAA and World Duty Free.
First Base
Manish Enaker has been appointed head of investment at the London developer. He was formerly at Grosvenor Estates and, in his new role, Enaker will seek out opportunities for First Base to grow as a business in the capital.
