The law firm has appointed Keith McAlister as a partner in its corporate and commercial department. He joins from Kingsley Napley, where he was head of corporate and commercial. McAlister has also held roles at Brachers.
Advent International
The private equity firm has appointed Werner Geissler as an operating partner, effective 1 January 2015. He was most recently vice chairman of global operations at Procter & Gamble, where he also previously served as group president of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Royal London
Debbie Kennedy has been appointed head of protection proposition design within the pension and mutual life company’s intermediary division. She joins from Capita, where she was managing director responsible for its professional services lines.
Akin Gump
Four partners are joining the law firm in London and Hong Kong from Bingham McCutchen. Vance Chapman joins its corporate practice in London. Thomas John Holton and Thiha Tun both join its funds practice in London. Finally, Matthew Puhar joins its corporate practice in Hong Kong.
Turner & Townsend
The programme management and construction consultancy has appointed Carl Slater as director of contract services. He was previously technical director in the commercial and legal risk team at WSP UK and WSP Group, and he began his career as a civil engineer.
Addleshaw Goddard
Helen Worth has been appointed partner in the law firm’s London office. She joins from Cordells, a Hong Kong-based real estate law firm she co-founded. Worth has also previously practised at Linklaters.
Falcon Group
Amanda Said has been appointed head of HR at the alternative financier. She has 28 years’ experience in HR, and has held senior roles at HSH Nordbank and HVB.
Hailo
The taxi app company has appointed Gary Bramall as global chief marketing officer. He was previously senior global brand experience director at Microsoft, and has also held senior roles at Apple and Orange.
