Colliers International
Chris Monkhouse has been appointed as a director at the commercial real estate services firm, and will head up its minerals, energy and waste management team. Monkhouse joins from GVA, where he spent 12 years.
Gazprombank Asset Management
Igor Kan has been appointed vice-president and head of structured products for portfolio management and trading at the asset management division of Russian bank Gazprombank. Kan has worked for Russian Regional Development Bank, a subsidiary of Rosneft, and as an adviser to the president. He has also worked at ING Barings, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup.
Boodle Hatfield
The law firm has elected Sara Maccallum as its next senior partner. Maccallum joined the firm in 1997, and is currently head of its private client and tax team.
Bull Moose Derivatives
The proprietary trading firm has appointed Didier Voinchet as head of trading. He joins from Odin Capital and has previously held senior roles at Schneider and CFT. Before that, he worked at Liffe and National Westminster Bank.
Moore Stephens
The accountancy firm has made two senior appointments to its financial services team. John Baker becomes counter fraud director. Baker has worked on the forensic team at KPMG and as an adviser at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. He joins from Baker Tilly, where he was a partner in the fraud solutions team. Matthew Ring joins as IT audit director. His 25 years’ experience include 13 years with KPMG.
Michelmores
Paul Paling has been appointed head of the law firm’s London office. A real estate lawyer, Paling joined Michelmores in 2012 from Nabarro.
SYZ & Co
The Swiss banking group has announced the opening of its Dubai office, with George Azar appointed manager. Azar has spent over 20 years in the financial sector, working for Jefferies International, UBP and SCS Alliance.
