The law firm has announced the appointment of David McCluskey as a partner in its disputes and investigations team. He joins from Peters & Peters, where he was a partner in its business crime team. McCluskey acts for professional and corporate clients in business crime and regulatory investigations, and he recently successfully defended Fergus Shanahan, former deputy editor of the Sun, in the Operation Elveden prosecution.

Dan Lee has been appointed director, head of UK wholesale in the financial services group’s asset management division. He joins from Allianz Global Investors, where he was sales director (UK discretionary). Lee has also held roles at Cazenove Capital, Old Mutual Asset Managers, Britannic Asset Management and Chase de Vere.

The law firm has appointed Satyen Dhana as partner in its competition practice. He joins from Milbank and has also held roles at Freshfields. Dhana has particular experience in merger control, cartel and regulatory investigations, and state aid advice.
JP MORGAN ASSET MANAGEMENT
Alex Stanic has been appointed portfolio manager in the asset management firm’s global equities team. He spent the last six years at River & Mercantile as head of global equities, and also spent over a decade at Newton, leading the global team.
NEXUS PLANNING
The planning and regeneration consultancy has announced four appointments to its London team. Rob Pearson joins as director from WYG Planning & Environment. James Singer joins as senior planner from WYG Planning & Environment. Tom Hyde joins as senior consultant from the Building Research Establishment. Finally Amy Stone re-joins as a planner after a period travelling abroad.
JENNER & BLOCK
John Runeckles has been appointed as counsel at the law firm. An intellectual property specialist with particular experience in the defence industry, he previously worked at White & Case for 16 years. Runeckles has also spent more than 25 years in the Ministry of Defence and the UK defence industry.
ADG CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Tom Pontin has joined the investment boutique, where he will be responsible for global sales and marketing. Pontin was previously a director of Fulcrum Asset Management.
