Canaccord Genuity
The wealth management firm and investment bank has appointed Guy Marks as a managing director in business services in its London-based investment banking team. He previously worked at JP Morgan Cazenove, where he was most recently in its UK corporate finance team.

TSB
Desmond McDaid has been appointed head of savings at the newly-listed bank. He was previously head of savings at the Paragon Group. McDaid has over 25 years’ experience working in UK-based retail and private banks, and has also held roles at ING Direct.

F&C Investments
The asset management firm has announced the appointment of John Bennett as head of wholesale institutions, and Martin Weisinger as head of wholesale private wealth. Bennett joins from RWC Partners, where he was head of retail distribution. He has also held roles at JP Morgan Asset Management. Weisinger has been a member of F&C’s wholesale distribution team for 11 years.

Edmond de Rothschild
Didier Deleage has been appointed chief operating officer of Edmond de Rothschild’s asset management business line. He was most recently associate chief executive of HSBC Global Asset Management France, and has also held senior positions at PwC and Sinopia Asset Management.

Quilvest Private Equity
The private equity arm of Quilvest Group has appointed Guy Zarzavatdjian as chief executive. He has held a succession of senior positions at 3i, including as a member of its group executive committee. Zarzavatdjian started his career at Eli Lilly.

CBRE
Robin Harris has been appointed business development director in the commercial real estate firm’s tenant advisory group. He was previously sales and marketing director at Como.

Towry
The wealth advisory firm has announced two senior appointments, following its acquisition of Baker Tilly’s private client financial advice and investment management business. John Porteous becomes head of client proposition. Garry Appleton joins Towry’s executive committee.
