Onfido
Onfido has announced that Kevin Goldsmith and Thomas Ammirati have joined its growing global team as chief technology officer and chief revenue officer will lead Onfido’s 240 expert technologists as it continues its rapid international expansion. Chief revenue officer Thomas Ammirati brings over 25 years’ experience in leading enterprise technology businesses. Prior to joining Onfido, Thomas was senior vice president of sales Americas at Forgerock, and vice president of North American sales at Ciphercloud. He brings extensive knowledge of software-as-a-service, with particular expertise in cloud computing, digital identity and big data. Thomas will lead Onfido’s sales, marketing and partnerships teams, with initial focus on US and international market expansion, digital identity partnerships and customer success. Chief technology officer Kevin Goldsmith has been a senior technology executive for over 27 years. He joins Onfido from AstrumU, where he served as vice-president of engineering, and was formerly the chief technology officer at legal marketplace Avvo. He has also held positions as vice president of engineering, consumer at Spotify and as director of engineering at Adobe.
Freedom Finance
Fintech platform Freedom Finance has appointed Neill Skinner as its chief finance officer. Neill will be responsible for the funding and capital structure of the group, as well as the management of relationships with investors, banks and advisors. Reporting to chief executive Brian Brodie, Neill will be working with the senior team to shape and deliver the wider group strategy, whilst helping to enhance the pace of growth and operational flexibility. Neill brings blue-chip standards and experience of highly regulated markets, and has held senior leadership positions at a number of quoted and private businesses. He joins Freedom Finance from Parking Eye having spent six years as strategy director at Speedy Hire.
Ropes & Gray
Ropes & Gray has announced that Eve Ellis, an experienced regulatory lawyer with a focus on fund formation, will join in London as a partner in the firm’s asset management practice. Eve’s experience complements the firm’s international capabilities. She advises on a broad range of regulatory issues relating to funds and asset managers, including fund structuring, the marketing of financial products and the establishment of regulated businesses. She also advises on change of control applications in the context of mergers and acquisitions and restructuring transactions, and the interpretation of the Financial Conduct Authority and related rules such as MiFID II. Eve joins the firm from O’Melveny & Myers in London.
