The corporate benefits advisory business has appointed Camille French as a client relationship manager. She has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, and joins from JLT Employee Benefits.
Duncan Lawrie Private Bank
The private bank has announced the appointment of Byron Coombs as chief executive. He has had a 30-year career in banking, and has spent the past two years in non-executive roles at Deutsche Bank and Coutts. Prior to that, Coombs was director of products and services for the wealth management division at RBS. He has also previously held roles at Citibank Private Bank, Merrill Lynch and Lloyds Bank.
Hermes Fund Managers
Mark Miller has joined Hermes Fund Managers as head of its UK, the Middle East and North Africa institutional business. He was formerly at Amundi Asset Management, where he was head of UK institutional business.
Payne Hicks Beach
The law firm has announced the appointment of Rebecca Cockcroft as a partner in its family team. She specialises in complex financial cases, particularly with an international dimension, and City-based divorces. Cockcroft was most recently at Manches, where she was a partner.
Lloyd’s
The insurance company has appointed Fred Hu to its council. He was previously a partner and chairman of Greater China at Goldman Sachs. Hu is currently chairman of China-based investment firm Primavera Capital Group.
Knight Frank
Ben Steer has joined the property consultancy’s property asset management division as an associate in its Birmingham office. He previously worked in the property and asset management division at Lambert Smith Hampton.
RBC
The Royal Bank of Canada has hired Mehdi Kashani as a director and head of asset-backed security and covered bond trading for Europe. He was most recently at Citi, where he was a director in its global securitised markets division. Prior to that, Kashani held roles at Deutsche Bank and Lloyds.
