Christopher Shead has joined the real estate services firm as a director in its renewable energy capital team. He was previously at FIM Services, where he led its renewable investment division. Before that, Shead worked in the global climate and renewables business at E.On.
Nomura
The investment bank has appointed David Hague as a managing director in its debt capital markets (DCM) business for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joins from RBS, where he ran its UK and Ireland financial institutions DCM division.
Hardy
The insurance underwriting business has recruited David Brosnan as chief executive. He is currently a non-executive director at CNA Insurance Company. Brosnan was formerly president and chief executive of ACE INA.
Grovepoint Investment Management
The investment management business has announced the appointment of David Drewienka. He joins from Investec Bank, where he was head of specialised lending. Prior to that, Drewienka spent six years at Arthur Andersen in accounting and audit, tax and business finance roles.
Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets
The corporate and investment banking arm of RBC has appointed Christian Karcher as a managing director and head of investment banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He has over 20 years’ investment banking experience, and was most recently at Nomura. Karcher has also worked at Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse First Boston.
LCP
Sarah MacDonnell has joined consulting actuaries LCP as a senior consultant. She has 20 years’ experience in general insurance actuarial consulting, and specialises in periodical payment orders. MacDonnell has previously held positions at Towers Watson and General Accident.
Renaissance Capital
The emerging and frontier markets investment bank has appointed Robert Lamprecht as chief executive in South Africa. He joined in January from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he held senior roles in equities and equity distribution.
