The bank, a subsidiary of Arbuthnot Banking Group, has appointed Neil Clinton as regional sales director. He joins from Barclays, where he was head of its UK large corporate asset based lending team. Clinton has over 30 years’ experience in banking and invoice finance.
Investec Wealth & Investment
The wealth management firm has announced two appointments to its Bournemouth office. Darren Elmes and Steve Hart both join as senior investment directors from Barclays Wealth, where they were directors. Elmes has also held roles at Lloyds Private Banking and Capel Cure Sharp. Hart has previously worked for Richard Chubb Love Rogers.
ANV Holdings
Paul Bland has been appointed head of ANV syndicate 1861 non-marine liability lines at the specialty insurance business. He joins from Markel, where he was vice president, excess liability. Bland has also worked for the Catlin Syndicate at Lloyd’s, Lexington Insurance Company, Liberty Mutual, and Royal & Sun Alliance.

The intellectual property law firm has announced two appointments. Camilla Balleny, a life sciences litigator, joins from Pinsent Masons, where she has been a partner for the past four years. She brings with her Lucy Sewter, a life sciences legal executive.

Jeff Knowles has been appointed project director at the London property developer. He joins from Orbit Homes, where he managed major projects and set up its residential development arm. Knowles has also held senior positions at Wolsey Residential Finance, Barratt Developments, and Berkeley Homes.

The boutique fund manager has announced the appointment of Kevin Mordrick as head of business development. He joins from City Financial Investment, where he was business development director. Mordrick has also held roles at Rensburg Fund Management and Invesco Perpetual.

The investment advisory firm has appointed Justin Preston as a senior associate for equities research in its public markets research team. He was previously an investment manager for the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
