Reed Smith
International law firm Reed Smith has announced that tech, media and data specialist Elle Todd will be joining their entertainment & media industry group in London as partner.
She was previously partner and head of digital and data at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang and has worked for clients that range from technology start-ups and entrepreneurs to household names such as Unilever and Philips Electronics. Gregor Pryor, co-chair of Reed Smith’s global entertainment & media industry group said: “We are delighted that Elle has agreed to join us. She has a unique skillset, combining a deep knowledge of the consumer brands, tech and media sectors with digital and data compliance expertise. She has a global perspective and is hugely regarded by clients for her innovative and practical approach.” Elle has particular expertise in data protection and strategy, as well as innovative technology deals. She also has significant experience working in Asia, where she helped to set up the media, data and technology practice in the region for her previous firm. At Reed Smith, she will help drive the group’s growth ambitions across the Asia-Pacific region.
Aprirose
Aprirose, the real estate investment company, has appointed Philip Gardner as commercial director to oversee its hotel management platform’s sales, marketing and revenue disciplines. He joins from Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) Europe where he was the vice-president leading the revenue management team. Prior to that he was involved in the planning and deployment of the IHG Europe marketing funds. He has also held commercial roles, including the creation of the London Marriott revenue management cluster. Tim Shearman, chief executive hotels, said: “Philip will be a great asset given his extensive knowledge and experience, specifically in sales and revenue management in the hotel sector.”
Real Asset Partners
Real Asset Partners (RAP), a leading independent real estate placement agent based in London, has appointed Rocio Pineda to the position of senior associate. Rocio brings over four years of experience in real estate and finance to the Real Asset Partners team. Most recently, Rocio worked within the ECM real estate team at Goldman Sachs in New York, part of the wider investment banking division. In this role, Rocio was responsible for working with US clients to raise capital via equity offerings including IPOs, follow-ons and block trades. In her new position at Real Asset Partners, Rocio will be responsible for the execution of mandates to provide capital solutions to clients and analysis of investment opportunities.
