Baker Tilly
The professional services firm has appointed Diane Gwilliam as head of capital markets. She has been at Baker Tilly for 14 years, and a corporate finance partner since 2008. Gwilliam takes over from Chilton Taylor, who is standing down but remaining as corporate finance partner with the firm.
Lloyds Banking Group
Simon Davies has been appointed chief people, legal and strategy officer at the bank. He joins from Linklaters, where he is currently the firm-wide managing partner. Davies will join Lloyds in January 2016, and will be a member of the group executive committee.
BMO Global Asset Management
The investment management firm has announced three appointments to its European client management team. Andrew Jones joins as director, consultant relations from Insight Investments, where he held a similar role. Richard Ferris joins as director, client relations from Mercer, where he was a principal and CD client director within its fiduciary management team. Laura Gray joins as client manager, international from Aberdeen Asset Management, where she was responsible for the day-to-day management of institutional clients in Europe.
Morrison & Foerster
Graeme Sloan has been appointed partner in the law firm’s M&A practice in London, head of its corporate practice, and global co-chair of M&A. He joins from Latham & Watkins, where he served as global co-chair of its M&A practice. Sloan focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
TLT
The law firm has announced the appointment of Jake McQuitty to its UK financial services team. He joins from Barclays Bank, where he currently heads up its investigations and enforcement team for Europe and the Middle East. McQuitty has also worked as a senior associate at Hogan Lovells and Berwin Leighton Paisner.
Hermes Investment Management
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Patrick Marshall as head of private debt and CLOs. He joins from Tikehau Capital, where he was a member of its management committee and responsible for developing its direct lending activities in London.
