City Moves for 19 September 2018 – who’s switching jobs at Close Brothers Asset Management, BNP Paribas and Arrow Global Group?
Today's City Moves cover bespoke investment, FX options trading and client development. Take a look at these movers and shakers:
Close Brothers Asset Management
Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has hired managing director Oliver Harvey to support the growth of its HNW bespoke investment management service. Oliver brings with him 19 years of experience of managing investments. Before joining CBAM, he worked as an investment director at Rathbones, and prior to that, Fleming Private Asset Management where he started his career. A specialist in private client fund management, he is also a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Oliver’s appointment follows the arrival of Tim Eliot-Cohen in September 2017, who has helped drive further expansion of CBAM’s HNW Bespoke business through the opening of a new office in the West End of London.
BNP Paribas
BNP Paribas has appointed Baris Temelkuran as global head of G10 FX options trading, based in London. Baris will join the G10 FX management committee and will report to Neehal Shah, global head of G10 FX trading. Baris joins from Goldman Sachs where he worked for 12 years, most recently in charge of its G10 and emerging market FX exotic options trading globally. In addition to Baris, BNP Paribas has also strengthened its G10FX options trading business with three further hires over the summer. These include Karim Javeri and Richard Collins, who join from Citi, and Adam Baines, who has joined from Credit Suisse. All three report to Baris.
Arrow Global Group
Arrow Global Group, a leading European investor and asset manager in non-performing and non-core assets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Tomlinson as UK head of client development. At Arrow Global, Tim’s focus will be on cultivating relationships with key UK creditor clients, collaborating closely with the business’ pan-European Origination team regarding on-going client developments and forthcoming transactions. Tim has a successful track record of managing nationwide teams of business development professionals responsible for securing new clients, generating new revenue streams and launching new propositions into the market. Tim’s most recent role was head of new business at PwC, where he spent over 10 years in leadership roles in sales and marketing across the UK, and prior to that he worked in recruitment, during which time he built up a strong knowledge of the financial services industry. His experience in leadership roles in sales, marketing and product development will be a welcome addition to Arrow Global’s UK business.
