KPMG
Rob Clayton has been appointed partner in the professional services firm’s UK insurance tax team. He was most recently group tax director at Friends Life. Clayton has been leading tax teams in the insurance sector since 2006, and worked at KPMG between 1998 and 2001.
Ropes & Gray
The law firm has announced two partner appointments to its privacy and data security practice. Heather Egan Sussman will work from its office in Boston and Rohan Massey will work from its London office. They both join from McDermott Will & Emery, where they were leaders of its privacy & data security and technology practices.
Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers
The real estate investment management firm has announced two senior appointments in the US and Europe. Joy Winterfield joins as managing director of global portfolio management based in Chicago from Allstate Investments, where she was most recently director of global private equity real estate. Albert Yang joins as managing director and head of business development – Europe, based in London. He was previously executive director of global real assets at JP Morgan Asset Management.
BNY Mellon
Mariano Giralt has been appointed head of global tax services at BNY Mellon. He was previously head of tax services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the firm.
Capsicum Re
The reinsurance broker has announced the appointment of Vlad Polyakov to its cyber team. He joins from Lockton Companies, where he spent two years as assistant vice president within its global technology and privacy practice. Polyakov has also held roles in JLT Specialty’s communications, technology and media risk practice as a technology PI and cyber broker.
Bryan Cave
Rachel Kelly has been appointed partner in the law firm’s financial services group in London. She joins from Macfarlanes, where she had been head of structured finance and capital markets for four years. Kelly has also previously spent 14 years in Clifford Chance’s structured debt group.
