The Lloyd’s underwriter has announced the appointment of Alistair Marriott as joint deputy head of marine and class underwriter cargo. He joins from QBE, where he was cargo portfolio manager for the past 12 years.
Allianz Global Investors
The investment management firm has appointed Johnnie Barnett as director of UK institutional business development. He was most recently business development director within the institutional business at Northern Trust Asset Management. Barnett has 10 years’ industy experience.
Maples Teesdale
The commercial real estate law firm has appointed two new partners within its property finance team. Ajoy Bose-Mallick joins from Irwin Mitchell and has also held roles at Hogan Lovells. Chen Ikeogu joins from Shepherd and Wedderburn and has also worked at Pinsent Masons.
Private & Commercial Finance Group
The Aim-listed finance house has appointed David Bull as finance director. He joins from Hampshire Trust Bank, where he was director of finance and company secretary. Bull also previously worked as interim chief financial accountant at the Bank of England, and has held roles at Deutsche Bank, Heritable Bank and KPMG.
Knight Frank
The property consultancy has announced three appointments to its central new homes team. James Buist-Brealey joins from Maguire Jackson, where he spent four years handling sales for commercial and residential property in Birmingham City. Jude Plant has previously held positions at DTZ and Crest Nicholson. Jonathan Wish joins as land agent in its development team based in Stratford.
Morgan Lewis
Gawain Hughes has been appointed investment management partner in the law firm’s London office. He joins from DLA Piper, where he led its London funds practice.
Bivonas Law
The City litigation practice has announced the appointment of practising barrister Rebecca Dix as senior associate. She was called to the bar in 2004, and her practice focuses on bribery, fraud, corruption and complex financial and business crime.
