Investec Asset Finance
Jane Mantell has been appointed head of portfolio risk at the asset finance provider. She joins from Insight Plus, the consultancy, where she has worked since 2007. Mantell previously spent nine years with Foxreed Consulting.
UBS
Michael Hafner has been appointed head of oil and gas, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at UBS. He will join from Deutsche Bank, where he spent six years, most recently as head of energy EMEA. Hafner has also held roles at Morgan Stanley.
PwC
David Bettesworth has been appointed head of insurance and investment management advisory at PwC in London. He was previously financial services head of enterprise risk services at Deloitte.
Aldermore
Vicki Harris has been appointed group strategy and marketing director at the bank. She joins from Octopus Investments, the UK retail fund manager, where she was chief operating officer responsible for scaling its operations and customer engagement model. Harris has also held senior roles at McKinsey and GE Capital.
JLL
The specialist real estate professional services and investment management firm has appointed two new agents to its South East office agency team. Marianne Thomas, a former member of the team, returns as a director. Caroline Waldron joins as a senior surveyor from Vokins, where she was an associate.

Paul Hirst has been appointed head of transport at the law firm. He joins from DLA Piper, where he was head of the rail and public transport practice. Hirst has advised the likes of Hitachi Rail, Alstom Transport, and the Department for Transport.

The law firm has announced five appointments to its senior management team. Irena Molloy joins as human resources director from BDO, where she was its HR director. Rebecca Atkinson joins as head of risk and compliance from Barlow Robbins, where she was risk, compliance and quality manager. Susanne Pugsley joins as business development manager. Clive Knott joins as IT director from Olswang, where he was head of its IT function. Ian Harvey becomes chief operating officer.
