Lloyds Bank
Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has announced the appointment of Christopher Sood-Nicholls as managing director. He joined in 2000, and has since held management roles in IT operations, executive management and corporate development at the bank.
BlackRock
The investment management firm has appointed Deborah Winshel to lead its impact investing platform. She was formerly chief operating officer of The Robin Hood Foundation. Prior to that, Winshel worked at JP Morgan Investment Bank.
Investec
Adam Jaffe has joined Investec Private Bank’s structured property finance team as an originator. He has over 10 years’ experience in the real estate industry, and joins from Denstone, where he specialised in third-party asset management, transaction management and joint ventures. Before that, Jaffe worked as an investment manager at Stenham Property.
RPC
The law firm has hired Rory O’Brien as a partner and member of its management board. O’Brien specialises in strategy, capital management, operational efficiency, regulation, outsourcing and M&A. He was previously global head of risk consulting and software at Towers Watson, and a managing partner at EMB Consulting.
Duff & Phelps
Ian Corfield has joined the valuation and corporate finance advisory firm as a managing director in its restructuring team. He has over 25 years’ industry experience and will be based in the London office.
Alvarez & Marsal
The professional services firm has appointed Dhruv Sarda as a senior director, and leader of its corporate M&A strategy and post-merger integration practice in Europe. He was most recently at Accenture, where he was a managing director and head of its M&A practice. Sarda has previously held senior roles at ABN Amro and PwC.
Sophos
The IT security company has announced the appointment of Joe Levy as chief technology officer (CTO). He has over 20 years’ experience and joins from Blue Coat Systems, where he was CTO.
