Saffery Champness
The accountancy firm has made two senior appointments. Jamie Cassell (right) joins its business advisory group as a partner. He specialises in advising entrepreneurs and owner-backed businesses. Cassell was previously a partner at Blick Rothenberg and a director at BDO. Niraj Patel has been promoted to partner. He joined in 2000, and was previously a director in the firm’s corporate finance division.
BNP Paribas Securities Services
The investment custodian has appointed Jose Placido and Charles Cock as co-heads of sales and relationship management. Placido has over 25 years’ industry experience, and was formerly chief executive of RBC Dexia. Charles Cock is currently head of client development, and joined the group in 1995.
BDO
The accountancy and business advisory firm has made two appointments. Kelvin Wilson joins as head of pensions de-risking. Syhamal Bala has been appointed as a senior manager in the pensions advisory team. They both join from Grant Thornton.
Ardian
Tobias Gewolker has joined the private investment company as a director in its infrastructure division. He has over 13 years’ investment banking experience, and previously worked at DC Advisory. Prior to that, Gewolker held roles at Barclays Capital.
Key Group
The financial solutions provider has hired Will Hale as business development director. He joins from Partnership Assurance, where he was director of corporate partnerships. Hale was formerly commercial leader in the European retirement and protection division at Genworth.
Knight Frank
The Knight Frank healthcare team has appointed Tiana Spence as an associate. She will focus on corporate and commercial healthcare asset valuations. Spence previously held roles in the healthcare and hotel investment sales team at JLL Sydney.
ClearStar
Luke Battah has joined the technology company as senior vice president and general manager of international business. Battah has over 10 years’ experience in international employment screening, and was most recently at AIM Screening, where he was chief executive.
