The law firm has hired Francis Kucera as a partner in its capital markets practice. He joins from Linklaters, where he was co-head of its Central and Eastern Europe office and the Commonwealth of Independent States region, and co-managing partner of Linklaters' Warsaw office.
RBC Capital Markets
The corporate and investment banking arm of the Royal Bank of Canada has recruited Mike Foster as a managing director and global head of central bank sales. Foster has over 20 years’ experience working with central banks. He was most recently at Credit Suisse, where he was head of European Central Bank and official institution sales.

Christopher Dickins has been appointed senior risk and operations manager in the European fiduciary manager’s London office. He was previously at Key Capital and Lombard Street Research, where he was risk and operations manager. Prior to that, Dickins held front office roles at CMC Markets.
City Financial
The investment management firm has announced the hire of Philip Kay as head of Asia. He has over 17 years’ experience running large global equity platforms in the Asian markets. Kay was formerly head of the Japanese global cash equity division at Credit Suisse First Boston. Before that, he was head of Asia at Schroder Securities.
Key Retirement Solutions
The retirement advisory firm has appointed Tony Kane as group marketing director. He was previously at AJ Bell, where he was director of direct marketing and e-commerce.
White & Case
Hiroshi Oda has joined the law firm as counsel in its London office. He is the Sir Ernest Satow Professor of Japanese Law at University College London, and a representative of Japan to the International Criminal Court of Arbitration in Paris.
Axway
The technology firm has made three hires. Nick Ferrante joins as executive vice president (EVP) of global sales from IBM. Paul Shortell, formerly of Oracle, has been named senior vice president of professional services. Laurent Briday joins as EVP of research and development from SAP.
