Knight Frank
Knight Frank residential development has appointed Tom Hawkins as partner in its new homes team. Tom joins the firm from Hamptons International, where he worked for 10 years and latterly ran the new homes sales team. Tom previously led the sales of Portobello Square, W10, Aberfeldy Village, E14, and Rathbone Market, E16 – the first residential phase within the wider regeneration of Canning Town. Tom joins the firm’s new homes team of 35, based at Knight Frank’s global headquarters, 55 Baker Street. Combined with managing the sales of some of London’s most prestigious luxury residential developments, he will also be driving business generation throughout the London new homes business.
DMH Stallard
Mark Harden has joined DMH Stallard as a partner in the firm’s London office. Mark joined from the London office of Thrings and specialises in corporate and commercial transactions with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and project finance and all manner of commercial agreements. Mark spent 10 years at The Marconi Company including two years in a commercial management role before he qualified as a solicitor. After leaving the industry and gaining his law degree, Mark completed his legal training and spent seven years at the magic circle firm, Linklaters. He then spent four years at Ernst & Young’s associated law firm. Mark has now been a partner for 12 years.
Colliers International
Commercial real estate adviser Colliers International has recruited Simon Reay-Jones as an associate director in its rating department. Simon joins from Allsop where he has worked since 2000. He brings with him wide ranging experience in the retail, office and industrial property sectors. He will work with the wider rating team to advise clients on rating appeals, rates management, rates recovery and rates mitigation on empty property. In his new role, Simon will be advising clients on how to mange their rates liabilities.
Bristows
London-based law firm Bristows has added technology lawyer Anna Cook to the rank of its partners. She joins the commercial and technology disputes team which acts for global clients such as Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Cadbury, Philips, Capgemini, Google, Bulgari, Trafigura, and Kodak. With 20 years of experience, Anna specialises in disputes arising from commercial contracts and large scale technology projects, including issues relating to data, confidential information and copyright. She frequently advises clients about commercial risk, change management, exit, termination and the re-negotiation of their commercial terms.
