The professional services firm has announced the appointment of Will Brown as a director in its enterprise resilience practice. He was most recently at KPMG, where he ran its business continuity team.
Simmons & Simmons
The law firm has appointed Mahrie Webb to its funds practice. She has over 12 years’ experience advising fund management groups, financial institutions and intermediaries on fund structuring, distribution and regulatory matters. Webb was formerly a partner at Burges Salmon, where she headed its funds practice.
EY
John Milne has joined the business advisory firm as a director in its financial services IT and cyber risk practice. He has over 40 years’ financial services experience and was previously at the Bank of England, where he led its operational resilience team. Prior to that, Milne held roles at the Financial Services Authority.
Baker & McKenzie
The law firm has hired Will White as director of global communications. He joins from EY, where he was global director of public relations. Before that, White was deputy director and think tank director at the Management Consultancies Association.
Barnett Waddingham
The actuarial, administration and consultancy services firm has announced the appointment of Julia Turney as head of strategic development in its workplace benefits team. She has over 25 years’ experience in employee benefits and joins from Jelf, where she was head of benefits management.
Charles Taylor Adjusting
The loss adjusting business has made two senior appointments to its energy team. Hugh Sparks joins as an energy loss adjuster. He has worked in the London reinsurance market for over 20 years, and specialises in onshore energy claims. Maina Wagiciengo joins as a forensic accountant. He previously held roles at Matson Driscoll & Damico.
White & Case
Colin Harley has been appointed partner at the law firm. He will join its global banking practice, and specialises in advising financial sponsors and alternative capital providers on borrower finance. He was most recently at Murray & Spens, and has also previously held roles at Dickson Minto.
