Reeken Patel has been appointed chief risk officer at the insurer and reinsurer. He joins from PwC, where he was a partner in the general insurance division and had been its London market actuarial leader. Patel is also chairman of the London Market Actuaries Group.
Macquarie Investment Management
Macquarie Group’s investment management arm has appointed Steve Haswell as head of distribution, Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joins from MFS Investment Management, where he has worked as head of global sales, based in Boston, and head of continental Europe, based in Munich. Haswell began his career at Siemens.
Exotix Partners
Paul Hammett has been appointed to the merchant bank’s fixed income sales team in London. He was most recently head of emerging markets credit sales at Standard Chartered. Hammett has also held senior roles at Credit Suisse and JP Morgan Chase, and began his career working as an economist at the Bank of England and then BNP Paribas.
Hogan Lovells
The law firm has announced the appointment of Daniel Simons as a partner in its London corporate practice. He joins from Travers Smith, and focuses on equity capital markets work, predominantly with investment banks. Simons has also previously worked at Linklaters.
Chancery Investment Partners
The tax efficient private equity investment provider has appointed Patricia Reynolds as business development director. She joins from Carey Pensions, the UK administration and trustee company of Guernsey-based Carey Group. Reynolds has also worked as senior business financial planning manager at RBS.
Investcorp
The alternative investment provider has announced four new corporate investment advisory directors. Brendan Harris is chief executive and chairman of Froosh. Joan Julia Dinares is managing partner at S&E Partners. Guy Leymarie is the founder of AnimA Associates, and is a former chief executive of De Beers Diamond Jewellers. Philip Walters is chairman of GL Education Group.
RBC Wealth Management
Ann Marie Vibert has been appointed head of private client wealth management, offshore at the wealth management firm. She joins from Standard Chartered Private Bank, where she was executive director.
