Three Crowns
The global arbitration law firm has appointed Carmen Martinez Lopez as a partner in its London office. She joins from Covington & Burling, where she was an arbitration partner. Martinez Lopez has particular expertise in the Latin American and Spanish language markets.
Armstrong Investment Managers
Christopher Sullivan has been appointed director and head of distribution at the investment manager. He has previously held positions at CBRE, Jones Lang La Salle, Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter and Discover, among others.
Centrus Advisors
The treasury and debt advisory firm has appointed Robert St John as partner. He was most recently a managing director at RBS, where he was responsible for managing the bank’s overall relationship with a portfolio of UK corporate clients. St John has also held senior positions at NatWest and Schroders.
Edison Investment Research
The investment intelligence firm has appointed Hans Boström to its global healthcare team in London. He joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was head of European medtech/healthcare research. Boström has also held positions at Handelsbanken and BNP Paribas.
Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research
The investment consulting and research business has announced three appointments. Victoria Hasler becomes head of research. She joined Square Mile in 2014 as senior investment research analyst from Brewin Dolphin. Alastair Wainwright joins as investment research analyst. He has held roles at Legal & General and Standard & Poor’s. Finally, Daniel Pereira joins as investment research assistant from Morningstar OBSR.
ACE Group
The insurer has announced the appointment of Jim Smith as medical malpractice product manager and chief underwriting officer for ACE Overseas General. He was most recently vice president for ACE’s USA medical risk group.
Bond Dickinson
Andrew Barber has been appointed partner in the law firm’s banking and financial services team in London. He joins from Dentons, where he worked in its financial services and funds team, advising clients on regulatory matters. Barber has also worked in-house for Barclays Wealth.
