EY
Kate Richardson-Walsh has been appointed to EY’s business development team in London. She is a triple Olympian, and has been the captain of England and Great Britain hockey for the past 11 years. She will take up the role while training for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.
Investec Specialist Bank
The bank has announced the appointment of Robin Aldridge to its growth and acquisition finance team. He joins from RBS Invoice Finance, where he was a relationship manager in its corporate bank. Aldridge has also held portfolio management roles at Burdale Financial.
Jardine Lloyd Thompson
The insurance, reinsurance, and employee benefits firm has announced several senior appointments. Mark Wood is retiring as chief executive of its UK employee benefits business, and will leave the group in May. Duncan Howorth will succeed Wood, returning to the UK from his role as chief executive of JLT Asia. Dominic Samengo-Turner becomes chief executive of JLT Asia. He was most recently co-chief executive of Global Specialties and a director at Willis. Ian Robinson becomes chief operating officer of Thistle Insurance Services. Finally, Warren Downey becomes deputy chief executive and chief operating officer of JLT Asia.
Plurimi Investment Managers
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Neil Jamieson as partner and head of UK distribution. He was previously head of UK and Ireland sales at ETF Securities, and has worked as marketing and business development director at Selftrade. Jamieson also has experience at the OECD, IEA, and Ministry of Defence.
United House Developments
The property development firm has announced the appointment of Alasdair Evans as chief financial officer. He joins from IPD, where he was finance director. Evans has also held senior positions at Hermes Real Estate, X-Leisure Fund, and Land Securities Trillium.
Linklaters
Andrew Jones starts this morning as the new head of the law firm’s Africa group, taking over from Sandeep Katwala. “Africa is and remains a huge growth opportunity,” Jones said. Since February 2013 Linklaters has had an alliance with South African firm Webber Wenzel.
