Check out this Silicon Roundabout penthouse with a hot tub overlooking the City

TWO imperious towers oversee the numerous technology industries clustered around Silicon Roundabout.

Perched atop the taller of the two, sitting pretty at 154ft, is The Penthouse 127. This three-bedroom duplex apartment, which is part of the Bézier development, was built for entertaining. Not only is it a short walk from the City and the offices of London’s burgeoning technology industry, it’s at the heart of Shoreditch’s buzzing bars and nightlife. And it’s only going to get busier with more mixed developments coming to the area and more restaurants than you can shake a spoon at. 

Bespoke furnishings adorn the 2,600sqft living area, which transforms into a home cinema with a poke of the Legrand wireless audio system controlled via a custom-made iPad platform. The device can also arrange for a projector screen to drop down, the lights to dim, the curtains to shut and the air-conditioning to filter through.

The £4.75m sale is being managed by Hatton Real Estates, a four-year-old company that was set up by three friends who worked as estate agents covering the City fringes. They saw the potential, not only in Shoreditch, but in Whitechapel, Aldgate East and Clerkenwell, and decided to use their local knowledge to sell office space to start ups such as Mind Candy that have since turned into multi-million pound companies. 

They turned their expertise to residential last year and use their connections around Tech City  alongside technology such as video marketing and social media campaigns to sell their properties. These days Hatton has a stake in most of the new developments around the Old Street roundabout and The Penthouse 127 is the jewel in its silicon crown.
