Chancellor warns of few sweeteners in Autumn Statement – London Week Ahead
THE AUTUMN Statement on Wednesday will be the highlight of the business week, although chancellor George Osborne has already warned the government can not afford sweeteners to potential voters as it is too behind on its deficit target.
Osborne told the BBC Andrew Marr show yesterday there would be “no unfunded giveaways.”
Manufacturing, construction and services data are also due this week.
The corporate week starts today with news from Aberdeen Asset Management and Bonmarche.
Tomorrow GW Pharmaceuticals, Infrastrata and ITE Group give full-year figures, while Anite, Gooch & Housego, Northgate, WYG and Merlin Entertainments give updates.
On Wednesday Brewin Dolphin, Innovation Group, Sage, API Group and Tesco will update the market.
On Thursday Numis and TUI Travel update the market, along with Betfair, Consort Medical, DS SMith, Greene King, Mulberry and Pets At Home.
On Friday Berkeley Group and SThree are due to give results.
